π€ CREATE & PLAY
Choose a sound, or make your own.
Record a sound, import audio, or choose from your library.
Clear this workspace to start a new sound. Your saved sounds stay safe.
1 Β· CHOOSE OR MAKE A SOUND
Microphone off
Recording limit: 2 minutes. Finish keeps your new take; Discard keeps the sound you had before recording.
βοΈ CHOOSE THE REGION TO PLAY
Drag the yellow handles or use the sliders. Trimming does not erase the original source.
2 Β· SHAPE & PLAY
Load a sound in Stage 1 to enable the keyboard and sound controls.
Hold keys or tap to play. Computer keys: A W S E D F T G Y H U J K Β· maximum 8 notes. C4 plays the original pitch. Octave shifts on-screen/computer keys; MIDI uses absolute pitch (60 = C4). Stop Sound also cancels pending import/record startup.
The keyboard uses your selected region and current effects. Listen to full source plays the original once; Preview plays the processed selection once. Newly chosen sources start with effects off, so saved effects are not accidentally applied again.
πΎ NAME, SAVE & DOWNLOAD
Save and Download make a WAV of the selected region with the current reverse/reverb/delay applied once. They do not save an editable settings project or alter the original source. Save a new variant to keep your earlier library sound. Keyboard octave and volume are for playing and are not baked into these WAVs.

πΎ SAVE NEW SOUND AS
Save a new WAV. Your original sound stays safe.
How saving works
Turn your current SYNTH settings into a new WAV sample in My Library. Your original sound stays untouched. Saves one C4 note with the current filter, envelope, movement and effects. For loops, exports a 2-second note.
New sounds appear in MY LIBRARY and can be selected as another SYNTH source. Existing CREATE WAV downloads are unchanged.πΉ MIDI KEYBOARD

Library
Build collections of sounds. They stay in this browser until you delete them or clear browser data. Export backups regularly.
β¨ Explore Sounds
16 free starter sounds: beats, musical notes and playful effects. Tap to listen, then load the pack onto PERFORMANCE. No recording needed.
Make it yours: choose EDIT MODE in PERFORMANCE to replace any sound with a recording from MY LIBRARY. The four musical sounds use notes from C major pentatonic.
Original synthesised WAVs Β· CC0: free to use, change and share in your music. No credit or payment required. Sample licenceExport your sounds
Export your recordings as a ZIP of WAV files with a catalogue CSV. This is your portable backup for Logic, GarageBand and other music apps.
Privacy & storage
Saved sounds and Recorder projects stay in this browser profile on this device. The app does not upload recordings. Browser data can be cleared or evicted; private browsing may discard it. Export sample packs and use the Schools backup before closing or changing devices. Old local-file and other web addresses have separate storage; restore an exported backup to move work here.
Ask permission before recording another person's voice. Children should use this with appropriate adult guidance.
π« SOUND SPARKS FOR SCHOOLS
Keep creating after the workshop! Make a sound, shape it into an instrument, save it, then take your project to another computer.
πΎ TAKE YOUR WHOLE LIBRARY WITH YOU
Download a portable .json project backup containing your WAV sounds and collection names. On another computer, choose that file to add its sounds to the library there. Existing sounds are never replaced. Privacy: this file includes WAV audio (which may contain voices) and is not encrypted. Store and share it securely.
Your library stays on this device unless you choose to export it.
π² CREATIVE SOUND CHALLENGES
Record a clap, then use SYNTH to turn it into a drum sound.
π©βπ« TEACHER CORNER
Three short classroom activities, with no accounts or uploads:
- Sound hunt (15 min): record five safe sounds; discuss what makes each recognisable.
- Build an instrument (20 min): choose a sound and explore pitch, filter and envelopes on SYNTH.
- Sound story (20 min): create a collection of five sounds that tells a story; export the pack and share it locally with your teacher.
Safety: ask permission before recording voices. Do not put children's names or personal information in sound names or backups. Exported projects contain audio, so handle them according to your school's safeguarding and data policies.
Compatibility: Chrome and Edge are recommended for USB MIDI on Windows and Mac. On iPad, use the on-screen keyboard. Open the hosted app in its own HTTPS browser tab. Microphone permission is requested only after Record; MIDI permission only after Connect MIDI. Installation and offline access depend on browser support and a completed first online visit.
